Music

Music is an integral part of worship at St Jude's. Anglican Liturgy, including chant, service music, choir anthems, and hymn singing form the musical offering during worship services.

Senior Choir

Stephanie Burgoyne is our organist and minister of music. Under her direction, the senior choir provides musical leadership at the 10:30 worship service. Practices are held on Thursday evening at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday morning at 10:00 a.m. in the church.

The senior choir performs a concert in the spring and fall. Instrumentalists and vocalists are highlighted at these concerts.

Junior Choir

The Junior Choir, led by a volunteer parishioner, performs every four to six weeks during the 10:30 a.m. worship service. Practices are held most Sundays after the service. All children are welcome and encouraged to join.

If you wish to take part in the music ministry at St Jude's, contact Stephanie through the church office.

St Jude's OrganSt Jude's Pipe Organ

The two-manual and pedal pipe organ has been part of St Jude's for many years. It was rebuilt by the Keates Organ Company in the mid-1970s and has been re-constituted and the stoplist enhanced by the Swithun Organ Works of Toronto. Come and enjoy the organ every Sunday.

Each Friday in May, Stephanie hosts a noon-hour recital featuring local organists. These events are followed by a lunch provided by the senior choir members. All are welcome.
